Brakes
Toyota brake parts are designed to slow and stop your vehicle. They must remain intact and reliable for safe operational performance. When one piece fails, other brake components are affected too so if a rapid replacement is what you need, we have you covered.
All car models braking mechanisms vary, but the most common today is disc braking. This style of braking consists of calipers, brake pads, and rotor discs. The system works together to add pressure and friction in order to slow and stop your car, truck, or SUV.
When a driver presses the brake, the calipers located behind the wheels are charged or "pressurized" with brake fluid. When the calipers are under pressure, they press the brake pads into the rotor discs which creates the friction to stop.
Over the years or once you see over 50,000 miles on the odometer, you may be in need of a brake replacement. Some parts will wither faster than others, but if you see score marks on your rotor plates, notice that your pads are thinning, or you hear a grinding noise from your calipers when stopping, seek replacement ASAP!
